Pipeline Saint-Laurent

Since 2012, Pipeline Saint-Laurent, operated by Valero Energy, has linked the Jean Gaulin Refinery in Lévis to the terminal in Montreal East. The 250-km pipeline supplies the Greater Montreal area with large volumes of various refined petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, heating oil and jet fuel.

Safe and environmentally friendly, the pipeline is essential in that it ensures continuous supply and increases the effectiveness of the Montreal East Terminal, the principal petroleum product distribution point for the metropolitan Montreal area, Western Quebec, Ontario, including the greater Toronto area, and northeastern United States. Pipeline Saint-Laurent makes it possible to meet the ever-increasing demand for refined petroleum products in the markets served by Valero Energy. The pipeline is a reliable, ecological and economical method of transporting hydrocarbons over great distances.

In addition, using the Pipeline Saint-Laurent has reduced greenhouse gasses by 37,000 tons a year, thereby improving Quebec's environmental record.
