Crude oil is a mixture of hydrocarbons that is practically unusable in its natural state and must be refined. The Jean Gaulin Refinery has a system adapted to handle crude from niches providing low sulfur content (acid, light and shale crude), and major consumer products (gas, diesel, jet fuel and heating oil).
High-Quality Products
Marketed products are certified according to relevant Quebec, Canadian, American or European standards. In several cases, the refined products produced such as gasoline, jet fuel or heating oil exceed current regulations' standards. The manufacturing and quality control process for all refinery products is certified ISO 9001.
